Placing your ad on GarageSalePlanet.com is easy.
We'll have your ad online in minutes.
Placing Your Ad
Begin by clicking on the Advertise Your Sale button on the left side of the screen.
There is also an "Advertise Your Sale" link at the bottom of the screen.
If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so.
If you have not registered with GarageSalePlanet.com, you will need to do so before you can log in.
Once you have logged in, a form will be displayed.
You can select the style of ad you want, enter a catch phrase, a description, your address, etc.
More detailed instructions are included right on the form.
Fill out the form and click the Continue button at the bottom.
If the form was not filled out completely you will be prompted to do so before continuing.
Once the "Create An Ad" form has been filled out, you will be taken to the "Date/Time Selector" page.
On this screen is a calendar.
Click on the calendar to select the days your sale will run.
You can choose up to seven days for your ad.
Once you have chosen the days, you can adjust the start and end times for each day.
When you are done choosing the dates and times, click the "Save" button.
You will now see your ad as it will appear when someone searches for it.
However, your ad is not visible to the world yet.
The status of your ad appears near the ad.
Before you publish your ad, you should review it for accuracy and make any alterations that are necessary.
There are a number of things you may change including the color (if you chose a Deluxe ad), the catch phrase, the description, the dates and times, etc.
Some of these items cannot be changed once you publish your ad so review your ad for accuracy and make any necessary changes now.

Reviewing/Altering Your Ad
Use the buttons under "Your Options" to make any changes you want to your ad.
Some of these options will not be available to you once you publish your ad.
Complete instructions appear next to each option.
Publishing Your Ad
The Publish button is available if there is no fee for publishing your ad.
This happens if you choose a free ad or when we are running a special or if you have a promotion code for a free ad.
To publish your ad, click this button.
The status of your ad will change to let you know it was published.
Your ad will be online immediately.
If you have chosen to create an ad for which there is a fee, a Buy Now button will appear.
The price of the ad will be displayed next to the button.
Click this button to publish your ad.
You will be prompted to supply your purchase information.
We use PayPal to process payments, so you will need a PayPal account.
Instructions for using PayPal are provided on screen.
Once your ad has been published, you will be returned to the Ad Manager screen.
Your ad is displayed again as it will appear when someone searches for it.
Near your ad, the status will have changed to reflect that it was published.
You may still make some changes to your ad, but many of the options are no longer available.
You may continue to change the colors of your ad (if you have selected a color ad), the catch phrase, or the description of your ad as often as you wish.
You may continue to use the Announce feature to tell your friends about your sale.
You cannot change the dates, times or addresses of your sale once it has been published.
Make sure you have them correct before you publish your ad.
You may delete your ad at any time, or save it for later.
Note that saving your ad for later once it has been published does not "unpublish" it.
